OKX joins Bitgo’s Go Network to offer liquidity to institutions globally

OKX has joined Go Network Off-Exchange Settlement internationally, enabling eligible institutions outside the U.S. to access OKX’s liquidity while supported assets remain in segregated, regulated custody with BitGo Singapore Pte. Ltd.
The integration builds on the relationship BitGo and OKX established earlier this year, when OKX joined Go Network Off-Exchange Settlement for U.S. institutions through BitGo Bank & Trust, N.A. Together, the integrations give eligible institutions in the U.S. and international markets a consistent model for separating custody from exchange execution.
“We believe institutions are increasingly looking to separate where they trade from where they hold their assets,” said Mike Belshe, CEO and Co-founder of BitGo. “That separation is becoming an important part of how institutions manage counterparty risk and evaluate exchange relationships. Extending Go Network to OKX’s international operations is intended to bring that model to more of our clients globally.”
“Institutional markets are becoming more open, interoperable and capital-efficient,” said Star Xu, Founder and CEO of OKX. “Institutions should be able to choose where they custody assets and where they execute without sacrificing access to liquidity. Expanding our integration with BitGo internationally is another step toward connecting digital asset markets with the infrastructure and risk standards of global finance.”
Regulated custody through BitGo Singapore
Traditionally, accessing exchange liquidity has often required institutions to transfer and maintain assets on trading venues before execution. For institutions trading across multiple venues, that can leave capital distributed across counterparties and introduce additional operational complexity and counterparty exposure.
With the expanded OKX integration, clients can now access OKX international liquidity while their assets remain with BitGo Singapore, which is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore with a Major Payment Institution license. Assets stay in regulated, insured custody while BitGo’s proprietary settlement infrastructure, Go Network, automates the movement of assets between the parties according to the settlement process.
The integration is intended to result in a cleaner separation between custody, execution, and settlement, a market structure increasingly familiar to institutions coming from traditional financial markets.
Whether institutions work with OKX through BitGo Bank & Trust, N.A. or BitGo Singapore, the model remains consistent: assets in regulated custody with settlement automated through Go Network after execution.
