Circle and INFINIOS in Bahrain partner to expand digital finance

INFINIOS, a fintech innovator headquartered in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the first in-region to operate Stablecoin settlements and processors of Virtual Commercial Cards (VCCs), and Circle Internet Financial, LLC, a subsidiary of one of the world’s leading financial platform companies Circle Internet Group, Inc. (NYSE: CRCL), have partnered to support the expansion of digital finance infrastructure across MENA, by helping INFINIOS offer global interoperable digital payment and treasury solutions for businesses and financial institutions.
As per the announcement, INFINIOS will integrate with Circle’s financial infrastructure, including USDC, EURC, and API-enabled onchain payment capabilities for payouts and treasury operations.
Both companies will work to develop uses cases on cross border payments, treasury, liquidity management, merchant settlement, platform payouts, and tokenized financial services for institutions and enterprises.
Speaking on the partnership, Sherif Abdelsalam, Chief Executive Officer of INFINIOS, noted that the partnerships is a major step for the digital finance ecosystem. He added, “The combination of INFINIOS vision and market expertise with Circle will unlock new possibilities for real time global financial connectivity. Our goal is clear – to build infrastructure that enables seamless, compliant, and scalable financial innovation at a global level.”
Dr. Saeeda Jaffar, Managing Director for Middle East and Africa at Circle, notes that demand for modern financial infrastructure is accelerating across the Middle East and so he believes this collaboration will expand access to Circle’s stablecoin infrastructure and helping enable new payment, treasury, and embedded finance use cases across the region.
INFINIOS is a Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) licensed and regulated financial institution. As a principal scheme member, the firm extends its digital financial infrastructure internationally, focused on compliant, future-ready payment and settlement solutions for global commerce. The firm is the first in-region to operate Stablecoin settlements and is one of the largest regional issuers and processors of Virtual Commercial Cards (VCCs).
A week earlier in June of this year, Bahrain regulated CoinMENA B.S.C., a crypto broker and digital asset platform, also partnered with INFINIOS, a next-generation payments technology company, to power CoinMENA’s virtual and physical card program. As per the announcement, the collaboration represents a significant milestone in CoinMENA’s mission to provide users with enhanced financial flexibility and modern card solutions. Using INFINIOS as a licensed card issuer, CoinMENA will be able to benefit from its advanced card processing and program management capabilities.
