Saudi Arabian Jozo proptech tokenizes first property title deed in KSA

KSA based Jozo, which is offering fractionalized property investment services using tokenization, has issued the first tokenized real estate title deed, after closing an investment opportunity in a property in Al Majidiya in KSA, using tokenization.
The tokenized title deed was issued within the REGA ( Real estate General Authority) Proptech regulatory sandbox, of which Jozo is a participant.
The tokenized deed was of an existing property already on KSA’s RER ( Real Estate Registry), within a regulated framework.
According to the X post of Jozo, ” Today, we proudly announce the issuance of the first tokenized real estate deed from private sector platforms in the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Part platform as the first actual experience of tokenized real estate deeds. The issuance took place within the experimental regulatory sandbox of REGA with an official deed already existing property deed from RER all under a transparent regulatory framework.”
They added, “With Juz’… Tokenization is no longer an idea to be explained, but a reality to be documented.”
Prior to this Jozo had announced in another X post that it had fully covered the first tokenized real estate opportunity in the market. The property, a fully furnished apartment in Al Majidiya 152 project, managed by Guest Ready in KSA, will offer expected rental distributions of 8% annually, paid quarterly, and expected annual returns of up to 14.1% after exit (in the fifth year).
As they noted on X, ” What has been achieved today is not the end of an opportunity…
Rather, it is the beginning of a new phase of organized fractional ownership with real estate tokenization in the Saudi market.”
These two announcements by Jozo, come as part of Saudi Arabia’s initiative by REGA and RER for the tokenization of the national property registry and the announcement of the second cohort of its sandbox. SettleMint Digital Asset Lifecycle Platform Provider (DALP), is the technology entity behind the project.
Jozo was one of nine platforms that recently participated in the REGA Proptech sandbox. The Proptechs include names such as Sahel, Jozo, Ghanem, Madak, Droub, Noula, Haseeltak, Gamma assets, and Hustak.
