UAE 7X logistics group to settle payments in AE Coin

UAE Al Maryah Community Bank (Mbank) digital bank, is collaborating with 7X, a leading trade, transport, and logistics group. The collaboration between both entities aims to enable blockchain-powered digital payments using AE Coin. AE Coin is the first regulated AED stablecoin in the UAE. It will be used across 7X’s logistics, e-commerce, and digital services throughout the UAE.

Customers across the 7X ecosystem will soon have the option to settle payments using AE Coin for services related to postal, courier and express delivery, logistics, e-commerce fulfillment, and digital platforms, benefiting from secure, instant, and fully regulated digital settlements. The initiative directly supports the UAE’s digital economy strategy and reinforces the country’s leadership as a regional and global hub for next-generation financial services.

Tariq Al Wahedi, Group CEO – 7X, noted that the company sees digital payments as a natural extension of the national trade, transport and logistics infrastructure. He states, “Our collaboration with Al Maryah Community Bank brings together AE Coin’s regulated, AED-backed digital currency with the reach of our logistics network, enabling faster, more secure, and more convenient ways to pay for everyday services, while supporting the UAE’s vision for an advanced digital economy, enhancing customer experience, and opening new opportunities for SMEs and e-commerce merchants to participate confidently in a more innovative, cashless future.”

Mohammed Wassim Khayata, Chief Executive Officer ,Al Maryah Community Bank, noted that the collaborations is a milestone in the future of digital finance and payments in the UAE. He explains, ” By integrating AE Coin across nationwide postal, e-commerce, and delivery services, we are not only expanding real-world blockchain adoption, but also supporting the UAE’s vision of a smart, digitally enabled economy.”

In Nvember, Mbank, and AECoin announced on X that UAE based real estate company East & West International Group (EWIG) will be using AED backed regulated stablecoin AE Coin becoming the first developer to accept AE Coin. EWIG will utilize AE Coin for instant secure and transparent property payments through the AEC Wallet.

Already AE Coin is being used by several entities across the UAE, being the first AED regulated stablecoin. In June 2025, Abu Dhabi transport Department and Municipalities under the Integrated Transport Center (ITC) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, Tawasul Transport, will allow passengers to use the AE Coin stablecoin by Al Maryah Community Bank (Mbank) AEC Wallet application.

UAE based Air Arabia airline also started accepting the AED stablecoin, AE Coin, for payments such as flight booking. The airline is the first in MENA to offer a stablecoin based payment option. Users can book their flights using the AEC Wallet application developed by MBank.

Mbank was the the first bank to be offering the AE Coin licensed stablecoin. It became the first bank to make the first-ever regulated stablecoin in the United Arab Emirates available through its AEC wallet.
