UAE Soter Insure with new Series B funding bring total funding to $23.5 million

UAE headquartered Soter Insure, a provider of specialized insurance products tailored to the digital asset economy, closed its Series B funding round, led by Galaxy Digital, who also led the Series A, including a second close in coming weeks which will bring its total funding to $23.5 million, and over 500 BTC and 2000 ETH.

As per the announcement participants in the Series B round included CoinBase Ventures, Franklin Templeton and follow on investments from Brevan Howard Digital as well as other backers. The new funding will support the continued expansion of Soter Insure, deepening its underwriting and technology capabilities and scaling operations across key markets. In 2025 it closed its Series A round but did not mention the funding raised.

Henson Orser, Founder and CEO of Soter Insure noted that Soter aims to set a new standard for risk management in the digital asset space. He noted that the participation of partners such as CoinBase, Galaxy, Franklin Templeton and others is a validation of the platform.

He adds, ” With this capital we will accelerate our product roadmap, expand capacity, and extend our global footprint, and we look forward to welcoming further partners at our second close.”

Already in the UAE, where Soter is headquartered in Abu Dhabi with offices in Dubai, the company has been authorized by DFSA to offer digital asset insurance services and has partnered with Dubai Insurance to offer Bitcoin insurance policies.

Soter also operates in Bermuda and offices in London, New York and Dubai. ‍The company offers specialized digital asset insurance products for financial institutions, including, Directors &Officers (D&O), Professional Indemnity (PI), Crime, Specie, Slashing and Smart Contract Failure coverage, uniquely denominated in both fiat and native digital assets.

‍Soter Insurance offers comprehensive insurance solutions tailored to the unique risks of decentralized technologies, thereby instilling confidence in institutional and retail participants. ‍‍‍

Chris Ferraro, President and CIO of Galaxy added, “Insurance remains a key gap to institutional adoption of digital assets, and Soter has built a platform that closes it. We’re proud to lead this round again, and our continued investment reflects the strength of the team and the growing importance of specialized risk solutions for this asset class.”
