The LifeDAO Community-Owned Nobank Launches Stablecoin Savings Vault

The LifeDAO Community-Owned Nobank has launched a stablecoin Savings Vault with a targeted APY of 3 to 6%.

According to the press release, the Savings Vault is fully shariah-compliant and can cater to the growing global Muslim population. The Savings Vault is one in a suite of services by The LifeDAO Nobank.

Nobank enables members to be their own bank without a middleman that holds their funds. The technology for The LifeDAO Nobank is built by Takadao, a venture-backed Saudi Based blockchain startup backed by Draper Associates, Istari Ventures, Wahed Ventures, Syla Invest, Hasan VC and others.

As a Chainlink BUILD startup and Arbitrum Foundation grant recipient; The LifeDAO itself is a membership association owned by its members.

The LifeDAO Nobank takes the bank out of the picture and provides tools and services that enables members to store and access their funds without a middleman. This is built on blockchain and stablecoin technology drawing on principles from decentralized finance. The Life Wallet, a self-custodial digital asset wallet, can be compared to a safe in your home, only you have the key and only you can open it and manipulate its contents.

The LifeDAO Nobank is an easy to use interface that enables non-blockchain natives to engage in decentralized finance; something made possible by the advances in blockchain infrastructure by companies like Chainlink and Arbitrum, who are key partners for Takadao.

NoBank also offers a Saving Vault which is almost the same as a traditional bank savings account except that it is fully controlled by the depositer and is self held. No one holds its keys not even LifeDao.

The Savings Vault has a targeted Annual Percentage Yield of 3-6 percent

The Savings Vault only holds low-risk stablecoins, USDC and USDT, and has a targeted APY ( Annual Percentage Yield) of 3 to 6%. The goal of the Savings Vault is capital preservation along with low-risk yield generation. Built on blockchain infrastructure, the Savings Vault is available globally and is not tied to a specific geography or jurisdiction.

Shariah compliance is a core pillar of The LifeDAO and the yield from the Savings Vault is from fees for providing liquidity to decentralized exchanges for swaps between USDC and USDT. Similar to a currency exchange office, when one currency is exchanged for another (e.g. USD$ to EURO), fees are earned and distributed to the shareholders who have provided the currency used in the exchange. This structure is widely acknowledged to be Shariah compliant. The Savings Vault’s smart contracts automate the entire process without human intervention ensuring optimized yield generation while maintaining full control by the member.

LifeDAO plans to offer investment vaults later in 2026 which willoffer higher yields at higher risks.

Members now have access to:

The Life Wallet: Self-custodial stablecoin wallet
Savings Vault: Yield-generating stablecoin vault with an APY of 3 to 6%
The LifeCard: Prepaid stablecoin VISA card
Life Protection: Alternative, shariah-compliant, life coverage
Investment vaults (launching in Q2 2026)
Peer2peer lending (launching in Q3 2026)

The LifeDAO is an invite-only association and currently has close to one thousand members. Prospective members can join via an invitation from an existing member or by applying to the waitlist and completing a simple vetting process. The LifeDAO Nobank is community-owned, with profits redistributed to members.
