Only licensed crypto exchanges can advertise on Google for the UAE

Google has announced that beginning of October 21st onwards advertisers offering crypto exchange, software wallets, contracts for Difference (CFDs) or Rolling Spot Forex targeting the UAE can only advertise those products upon meeting certain requirements

Goofle updated the Financial Products and Services policy to reflect regulatory changes and clarify licensing requirements for targeting the United Arab Emirates across both the cryptocurrencies and related products policy and the Complex speculative financial products policy.

As per the announcement Google will allow ads promoting crypto exchanges or crypto wallets targeting UAE as long as the advertiser is licensed either by Capital Market Authority (CMA), Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) or Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA).

Any other local legal requirements must also be complied with. Advertisers must also be certified with Google. Furthermore the policy applies globally to all accounts that advertise these financial products.

For those violating the policy, their accounts will be immediately suspended without prior warning. A warning will be issued, at least 7 days, before any suspension of your account.
