Paribu's survey crypto users in Turkey allow AI into their crypto trading

Paribu, Turkey’s leading digital asset platform, which recently acquired UAE and Bahrain regulated CoinMENA has published the 2026 edition of its Crypto Awareness and Perception Survey, run with FutureBright Group, which found that AI has entered into the crypto investment decision making process.

The 2026 survey was conducted online in July and August 2026 among 1,999 people aged 18 to 55 across 12 regions of Türkiye.

The survey went into the field as crypto markets came out of a difficult first half. The Paribu Fear & Greed Index had spent most of those six months in extreme fear, and Bitcoin hit its lowest level of 2026 on 1 July, the day fieldwork began. The results show that crypto investors stayed in the market through the downturn and broadened their holdings.

Highlights from the 2026 survey:

● 53% of traders use AI often or always when making investment decisions, rising to 87% among daily traders.
● 43% of traders would let an AI agent manage their crypto portfolio, compared with 37% of all respondents.
● Crypto investors hold an average of 2.7 types of investment, against 1.5 for investors who don’t trade crypto. Only one in ten keeps everything in crypto.
● Gold is the most common companion to crypto at 57%, followed by foreign currency at 32% and stocks and funds at 27%.

Additionally the survey found that over the past year, 56% of crypto investors moved money from crypto into other assets, led by gold and stocks. Market volatility (47%) and profit-taking (38%) were the main reasons.

Furthermore 60% of crypto investors, crypto was still their first-choice investment over the year. While a third of traders now trade three or more crypto assets. Solana trading rose from 11% to 18%, and USDC from 6% to 13%.

Finally the survey found that for the first time, Bitcoin has overtaken “virtual/digital money” as the first thing people think of when they hear “cryptocurrency” (30%), with 46% of respondents see crypto as a trustworthy investment, up from 42%.

Half of respondents say it matters whether a platform is based in Türkiye, and three in four of them choose local platforms.
