Revolut hires global crypto institutional sales out of UAE

Revolut adds new expertise to its crypto roster in the UAE. In a LinkedIn post Nilesh Khatwani announced that he had joined Revolut as the Global Head of Institutional Sales, for Crypto.
Khatwani joins after working in Crypto.com as Head of Institutional Sales. According to his post, ” I’m looking forward to the opportunity to help grow Revolut’s institutional crypto business and play a part in building out what I believe can become a leading institutional offering in the market.”

Khatwani has relocated to Dubai UAE where Revolut recently received two licenses. In July 2026, it became more obvious that Revolut maybe offering not only payment services but also crypto ones sooner than expected.
UK based Revolut applied and received an in-principle approval for crypto broker dealer license, crypto exchange license, and a crypto management and investment license from Dubai’s Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority, weeks after receiving its Stored Value Facilities (SVF) license and Retail Payment Services (Category II) license from the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates (CBUAE) representing its expansion within the Middle East.
Ambareen Musa is the CEO of Revolut appointed back in 2024. More recently Revolut appointed Dr. Sameer Al Ansari as Non-Executive Chairman of Revolut UAE as well.
