Saudi digital asset infrastructure startup Oumla extends seed round

Saudi Arabian based Oumla a digital asset infrastructure provider for regulated financial use cases, has extended its seed round which will accelerate Oumla’s blockchain infrastructure. This extension follows the previously announced round led by Core Vision Investment and Avalanche, now joined by Wa’ed Ventures, Sanabil 500, KAUST Innovation Ventures (KIV), and Plus VC.
Through this extension, Oumla aims to deepen its partnerships with banks, institutions, and government entities, and to expand blockchain technology use cases in the financial and real estate sectors, including Sharia-compliant repo operations and real estate asset tokenization. Already Oumla signed agreements with banks such as SAB. It signed an innovation agreement with Saudi Awwal Bank (SAB Bank), a Riyadh-based Saudi joint stock company in which global banking group HSBC owns a minority stake.
As per the press release, these investments will be utilized to accelerate the development of Oumla’s infrastructure, including secure key management, wallet and transaction operations, and governance controls designed for corporate and public sector environments. The funding will also support the deployment of private blockchain networks hosted and operated withinKSA, thereby enhancing governance within Saudi Arabia and supporting data localization requirements and operational sovereignty.
Mohammed Aljasser, CEO and Founder of Oumla, stated, “We are delighted to be joined by investors with such expertise and strong track records. This support accelerates the building of a secure infrastructure hosted within Saudi Arabia and enables entities to adopt digital assets securely, with clear governance and compliance with regulatory requirements. As this sector accelerates, it is crucial that these capabilities are built and managed locally within the Kingdom.”
In September 2025, Oumla raised $2.4 million in seed funding led by Core Vision, with participation from Avalanche and a group of angel investors. As per the announcement, the funds would be used to expand the team and strengthen partnerships with regulators, banks, and government entities in Saudi Arabia and the wider region.
