Ooredoo and Qatar Airways have partnered for a 15 year period to create a national AI Hub with advanced infrastructure, advanced digital tools, and robust data security frameworks aligned with Qatar’s long-term vision for technological leadership and economic diversification.

A key element of the partnership includes significant investment in human capital. Both organisations will launch specialised training and upskilling programmes aimed at developing the next generation of professionals in AI, cloud, and cybersecurity.

Further strengthening the initiative, Ooredoo operationalized its investment in the NVIDIA GPU platform in July this year. This high-performance computing platform will empower businesses, government bodies, and developers with the processing power needed to drive innovation at scale.

“Sheikh Ali Bin Jabor Al Thani, Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo, statedm “We are committed to unleashing AI’s transformative power to enhance human potential and redefine what’s achievable. This strategic alliance with Qatar Airways merges our respective expertise to position Qatar as a global leader in AI advancement and digital innovation.”

“Leveraging technology to drive innovation has always been central to Qatar Airways’ digital strategy. This partnership allows us to expand our role as a national AI champion and supports Qatar’s ambition to integrate AI across sectors. Together, we are setting new benchmarks for excellence across industries,” Qatar Airways Group CEO Badr Mohammed Al-Meer added.

By integrating Ooredoo’s advanced AI infrastructure with Qatar Airways’ operational experience in deploying AI technologies, the collaboration is expected to deliver smarter, more connected solutions in telecommunications and aviation.

This strategic move highlights Qatar’s commitment to building a knowledge-based, technology-driven economy and highlights the country’s growing influence as a regional leader in digital innovation.
