Saudi Arabia to be the launch pad for Apex Group’s and droppRWA Unified Trust Stack

Apex Group Ltd. (“Apex Group”), a global financial services provider with over $3.5 trillion in assets serviced, will be collaborating with Saudi Arabian based droppRWA Limited (“DRWA”), a sovereign tokenization infrastructure provider, to develop and bring to market the Unified Trust Stack, a solution that connects verified real-world assets (RWAs) with the regulated infrastructure needed to structure, administer and distribute them to investors starting in Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia will be the initial market for the collaboration, which will be used as a foundation for further opportunities across the Middle East. Apex Group and droppRWA also plan to explore connecting the asset and securities leg of transactions with cash and settlement, including institutional delivery-versus-payment (DvP) use cases. Through Tokeny, Apex Group brings capabilities across digital securities, digital identity, compliance automation, tokenised cash integration and atomic DvP. These capabilities are expressly identified in the agreement.
The collaboration combines droppRWA’s proprietary blockchain-based asset verification and digital infrastructure technologies and capabilities with Apex Group’s expertise across regulated fund structuring, administration, and investor services, alongside traditional and digital asset distribution through Tokeny.
Together, the companies intend connect the entire investment lifecycle, from origination and verification of the underlying asset through to structuring, administration, distribution, and ongoing servicing. droppRWA establishes trust in the underlying asset. Apex Group provides the infrastructure that turns that asset into an investable, regulated product, distributes it, and services it through its lifecycle.
The Unified Trust Stack provides a more direct route from a verified real-world asset to a regulated investment product, with traditional and digital distribution supported by the same governance, administration and investor servicing.
Peter Hughes, Founder and CEO of Apex Group, noted that for real world assets to attract institutional capital at scale, tokenization is not enough, they need the same robust structuring, administration and investor protections institutions expect from traditional investments.
He explains, “The opportunity is to connect trusted underlying assets with regulated investment infrastructure and, ultimately, the settlement layer. By working with droppRWA, we can bring those components closer together through the Unified Trust Stack. Saudi Arabia is a compelling place to start given the transformation underway across its capital markets and the ambitions of Vision 2030.”
Faisal Al-Monai, Co-Founder and CEO of droppRWA, added, “Trust starts with the asset itself. Investors need to know what they are investing in, who owns it, its inextricable link to the ultimate source of truth, be it a central depository or a registry, and that the underlying information can be independently verified. Our work with Apex Group takes that foundation further, connecting trusted asset data with the infrastructure needed to structure and service an investment through its lifecycle.”
Recently Invest Qatar, the country’s investment promotion agency, also partnered with Apex group, to support Qatar’s aspiration to be a leading regional hub for asset management, fund servicing, and digital financial solutions.
