Zodia Custody’s UAE subsidiary licensed to custody tokenized securities in UAE

Zodia Custody, the institution-first crypto asset platform, has received approval from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) for ADGM, to offer custody of digital securities under its regional subsidiary Tungsten Custody Solutions Limited which was acquired by Zodia Custody in 2025.
Zodia Custody which has key shareholders such as Standard Chartered, Northern Trust, SBI Holdings, Emirates NBD and National Australia Bank, will support tokenized money markets and the growth of traditional securities markets who are moving on chain.
Phile Langton, SEO of Tungsten Custody solutions in the announcement noted that this license will support the growing demand for tokenized funds in the region.
He stated, “We are seeing increased interest in bringing more of the traditional equities and fixed income assets onchain, and with tokenized RWA growth expected to reach $16T by 2030, we believe we are well positioned to support the custody and settlement of digital and traditional assets with our partners in the region.”
Zodia Custody CEO Richard Clark added, that already treasury teams at financial institutions are holding both tokenized funds and stablecoins for cash management and collateral, and that needs a custodian who can safeguard those holdings to the standard that regulators, clients and boards expect.
He explains, ” The approval means we can offer bank-grade custody for tokenized securities as well as tokenized commodities in ADGM, and we expect demand for both to grow across the region.”
Tokenised equities are forecast to reach $750 billion by the end of 2028. In 2024, Zodia Markets, crypto brokerage entity was granted a Financial Services Permission (FSP) by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of ADGM. The license allowed Zodia Markets (AME) Limited permission to operate a regulated virtual asset brokerage in ADGM.
So now Zodia both can offer custody through Tungsten, and trading with Zodia Markets.
